Tournament Updates

The Women on the Tee 2021 tournaments and events have been created to provide new opportunities for competitive women golfers, to play on their own, or with friends at different courses across the UK.

As a new organisation, 2021, started in January 2021, the venues we are working with are the ones, who offered to accommodate us to get us off the ground and are working with us to ensure all players have a good experience. Courses who were unable to accommodate us this year have offered dates for next year and we are working on a schedule and as word is spreading we have venues offering to host us in 2022.

Depending on the size of the field we have the ability to run concurrent Gross and Handicap competitions for Mid Amateur players, 49 and under, senior 50 and over and if required super senior 60 and over.

The Women on the Tee Experience:
Before the Event:

Online Entry sign-ups
Email communication once entry closes to confirm entry
Payment taken when places confirmed
First Draft of Tee Sheet sent to players with links to directions to the course, competitors notes, local rules, WOTT Hard Card & COVID Rules
Evening before the event, email to confirm Tee Sheets & information on using digital scorecards

On the Day

Tournament System will access WHS system to get up to date players handicap information and course data
Welcome desk with paper scorecards for individual use
Instructions on using digital scorecards
Tea and Coffee on arrival, COVID permitting
Players may be able to get food and drinks from halfway houses and or the clubhouse, information will be provided prior to the event.
Starters on the 1st Tee
Referees on the course
Live Scoring (paper cards may be used as back up in case of bad phone signals)
Live Leaderboards on phones, clubhouse TV and website
Competition closes
Winners announced, order or merit points awarded
Prizes posted to winners, dependent on field size and player demographics.

We are working hard to ensure a great experience and look forward to developing more opportunities over the coming years.

Women in Golf Charter

As Women on the Tee is 100% focused on creating and developing new golf opportunities for Women, we wholeheartedly support the R&A Women in Golf Charter and are currently working with them to draft a pledge to become a global signatory to the Women in Golf charter, alongside other signatory organisations and national governing bodies.

We are pleased to be playing at Women in Golf Charter Courses in both 2021 and 2022, our aim is to work with and play at more Women in Golf Charter Venues going forward.
