Introduction to Women on the Tee

Hello and Welcome to Women on the Tee, the new website for all things competitive amateur women’s golf.

Our goal is to become the, go to, place for amateur women golfers, interested in learning about and participating in competitions, both new Women on the Tee and existing county, regional, national and international amateur competitions,

In November 2020, we ran a survey asking amateur women golfers what they were looking for from competitive women’s golf in the UK.  The key findings are, women currently participate in club, county and open competitions, however they would also like to participate in more WHS qualifying competitions, 4BBB, Foursomes and Ladies Pro-Ams, as well as play in a national order of merit in age and handicap ranges.

Our response to the survey is to identify dates and create a new competition schedule for 2021, which compliments the existing regional, national and international schedule.

WOTT will offer a series of new competitions for SENIOR Women in 2021, COVID rules dependent, including:

• 5 x WHS Qualifying Strokeplay competitions
• 1 x 4BBB
• 2 x Ladies Pro-Ams ( Scotland and England)
• Create and run a National Order of Merit
  • Age Ranges
  • Handicap Ranges

Note: 
Senior golfers are women aged 50 and over on the or before the date of the competition.
We plan to expand to other age ranges as we grow.

All Women on the Tee competitions and the Order of Merit will be

• run in accordance with the RandA competition guidelines and rules
• managed through the Golf Genius Tournament Software
