WOTT are excited to announce Slingsby Gin, the official Partner of the BMW PGA Championship and creator of the Slingsby Golf Academy as the latest Pro-Am sponsor.

The Slingsby Golf Academy is a celebrity challenge,between singer-songwriter Fleur East, TV presenter Helen Skelton, Sky Sports Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham and broadcaster Bela Shah, whose  into challenge is to learn how to play golf before competing against each other in a play-off to qualify for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.

Senior Amateur Women’s Golf News

Another week of national competitions for Elite Senior Women, with the Scottish Senior Women’s Open which took place at Aberdour Golf Club this week, with a couple of WOTT members participating.

Karen Ferguson-Snedden, from Mortonhall Golf Club, won the Scottish Senior Women’s Match Play Championship for the first time when she beat Iona McKean, Ladybank, in 2 & 1 tense final at a windswept Aberdour.

The English Senior Women’s Amateur Championship will be played at Market Rasen, 28th June to 2nd July, we wish all WOTT members and other players a great week of good competitive golf.

Women’s Amateur Golf News

Over the last couple of weeks, the Elite Amateur Women, have also been busy with the R&A Women’s Amateur Championship which took place at Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club between the 7th -12th June.Find out more about the Championship HERE.

LPGA News

This week sees the KPMG PGA Womens Championship take place at the Atlanta Athletic Club,  follow the action  HERE.

This week a new players statistics tool is being used to provide new information for both players and spectators alike,.  To date the women, have not had access to the same technology as men, when it comes to analysing their performance and KPMG, the sponsors of the PGA Women’s championship, is looking to begin to redress this balance and has created a new platform for the players.  Find out more about the new platform in the LPGA news HERE.

WPGA 2021 Order of Merit Schedule

The WPGA 2021, Order of Merit competition is underway, with a number of the WPGA Pro’s entered in the WOTT-WPGA Pro-Am at Bowood.
