Women on the Tee gaining momentum and support

Since launching on the 1st March, Women on the Tee has gained support and momentum each week and this week is no exception.

Monday, meeting with The European Legends/Senior Tour Leadership Team and their headline sponsor, Staysure to discuss how we could collaborate.  Some interesting prizes and joint initiatives will be announced soon…

Tuesday, flyers distributed to players at the Northern Foursomes competition at Bromborough, where the WOTT event on the 11th August will take place.

Wednesday, meeting with the Mill Ride Management and Event team to discuss plans for our first event on the 25th May.  Jane Sly and Fran Campbell, Mill Ride Members, kindly hosted Julie and Janet Beal, the referee who will be officiating on the 25th May.  Janet did a tremendous job of reviewing the course layout and made recommendations to improve the player experience on, which Mill Ride have agreed to make.  We currently have 22 players, with a few slots left.  Click HERE to Enter.

Thursday, Cheshire County Golf Press Officer called to let us know there will be an article in the next edition of Cheshire Life Magazine.

Friday, meeting with Lucy Simpson from the RandA, to discuss Women on the Tee and our Women in Golf Charter Pledge.  We look forward to becoming a signatory alongside some great International Organisations and National Governing bodies soon.  The RandA have offered their support through some merchandise for prizes. Plus, helping to spread the word, to the Coronation Foursomes players and venues.

RandA WOMEN IN GOLF CHARTER – there were 286 clubs in England signed up to the Women in Golf Charter on the 16th April, 2021, is your club one of them?  If not learn more here and get involved.  England GolfScottish GolfWales GolfIrish Golf

The recognition and encouragement of all the organisations and individuals over recent weeks provides us with an amazing support network and opportunity for women golfers to come together as one community to create new opportunities for women golfers today and for those players coming up behind us.

We are working towards creating a regional and national schedule for the 2022 season, enabling players to participate across the country and to compete for a place in a 2 day National Championship at
Ganton
21st & 22nd September 2022.
2021 is our first year and a year of learning, partnering with venues who were able to host our events and supportive of our goals, and offering playing opportunities to women golfers across the country.  Everything we do this year is helping us move towards a fuller schedule going forward.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community and events.
