Sue Spencer,of Whittington Heath playing off, took to the 1st tee, to take the first drive at the Inaugural Women on the Tee event at Mill Ride Golf Club. Sue was followed by Linda Hunt, from Newbury & Crookham and Debbie Richards,, from Burhill to lead the field of 25 courageous women to kick start Women on the Tee!
The rain from previous days, meant that the bunkers were out of play, resulting in the tournament being a non-qualifier, which made for a more relaxed day, the course played long and while the fairways proved to be a challenge the greens were in great condition and the rain stayed off for the duration.
