Women’s Golf has a bright future.

As we enter 2023, Women’s Golf has the foundations, international support and funding in place to evolve and develop into more inclusive and accessible sport throughout the World.

In December 2022, the R&A announced a £200m investment in amateur golf and published their PLAYBOOK which explains their values, mission and goals, for the next 10 years and how they are going to achieve them and where the funding will go in the development of golf.

This investment builds on the initial £80m they allocated in 2018 to a 10 year program launched through the Women in Golf Charter, which has been signed by over 1,000 organisations across the world from individual clubs to equipment and apparel manufacturers.

Through the Women in Golf Charter and other women’s golf initiatives, there has been an increase in the number of women and men, influencing the development and future of women’s golf.

These influencers have and continue to lead initiatives in their organisations and/or countries to make golf more accessible to more women on and off the golf course, creating case studies and best practice for other individuals and organisations to learn from.
